But leg cocking is not his only canine trait - apparently, he sniffs out goals like the best of hunting dogs.

Muller took his tally for the season to nine against Werder Bremen and team mate Philipp Lahm praised his nose for a goal, likening him to a hound in the process.

Muller needed no second invitation to imiitate a mutt, barking his intention to take over the interview off camera.

The tail had a happy ending for all concerned as Muller - without a WAG in sight and after a brief paws - doggedly answered the volley of questions fired at him.
