Top seed Andrey Rublev and Wimbledon finalist Nick Kyrgios will both be in action on Tuesday at the Citi Open while three British players also feature on the order of play.

Following his disappointing end to his clay campaign at the Hamburg European Open where he lost in the second round against Francisco Cerundolo a fortnight ago, Rublev will look to start his North American hard-court swing on a positive note when he takes on British youngster Jack Draper in the second round.

Draper secured his place in the second round with a straight-set win over American wildcard Stefan Kozlov.

Kyrgios, meanwhile, will return to singles action for the first time since finishing runner-up to Novak Djokovic at Wimbledon as he pulled out of the singles at last week’s Atlanta Open.

However, the enigmatic Kyrgios has plenty of doubles matches under his belt as he won the Atlanta Open alongside his compatriot and friend Thanasi Kokkinakis while he also won his opening match at the Citi Open with Jack Sock on Monday.

The Australian faces American Marcos Giron in his opener and 14th seed Tommy Paul will await the winner.

There will also be an all-British clash early in the day as the returning Kyle Edmund faces Dan Evans.

The only two other seeded players in action on Tuesday are seventh seed Karen Khachanov, who takes on Dominik Koepfer from Germany, and eighth seed Botic van de Zandschulp, who faces Borno Gojo.

Kyle Edmund ‘grateful to be back playing tennis’ after winning first ATP Tour singles match in 24 months

Playing in his first singles match in nearly two years, former British No 1 beat Japanese qualifier Yosuke Watanuki on Monday to set up a clash against Evans.

What time are the big matches in Washington DC?

Kyle Edmund vs Dan Evans – 17:00 BST
Andrey Rublev vs Jack Draper – 20:00 BST
Karen Khachanov vs Dominik Koepfer – 23:00 BST
Botic van de Zandschulp vs Borno Gojo – 23:00 BST
Nick Kyrgios vs Marcos Giron – 00:00 BST (Wednesday morning)

* The above are all estimate times with Edmund vs Evans the only one confirmed for a 17:00 start.
