How to watch The Boat Race 2023: TV channel and live stream for today’s Oxford vs Cambridge battle

One of the most historic dates on the English sporting calendar is upon as The Boat Race returns for 2023.

Today's race between Oxford University and Cambridge University is the 168th edition of the famous event, though the first was held all the way back in 1829.

Cambridge have been the dominant men's force in recent memory, winning three of the last four editions, but Oxford have shaded the record since the turn of the century with 13 wins to their rivals' nine.

The recent women's results follow a similar pattern, with Cambridge winning the last five on the spin having previously lost eight of nine.

How to watch The Boat Race 2023

TV channel: Coverage of today’s races will be broadcast live for free on BBC One from 3:30pm GMT until 5:45pm. The women’s race starts at 4pm, with the men’s race at 5pm.

Live stream: You will be able to watch both races live online via the BBC Sport website and BBC iPlayer, and the official Boat Race YouTube channel.
