Rajasthan Royals player Riyan Parag has got an Army haircut after watching the Bollywood film Shershaah. The franchise shared a video on their official Twitter account in which Riyan Parag showed his new hairstyle. The 19-year-old all-rounder also revealed in the video that he went for the hairstyle after watching the film Shershaah.

Shershaah is a Bollywood film that was released recently. The film is based on the life of Indian Army martyr Vikram Batra, who was a captain in the Indian Army. He lost his life during the India-Pakistan Kargil War in 1999. He played a leading role in defeating the enemies and recapturing the country’s lands from them. Shershaah was the code name given to captain Vikram Batra during his Army missions in Kargil War 1999.

In the video posted by Rajasthan Royals on Twitter, Riyan Parag showed his new hairstyle. “I just watched Shershaah. I was going for an NDA Army cut. I don’t know if I pulled it off but looks cool”, Parag said in the video. Have a look.

Right-handed batsman Riyan Parag played all 7 matches for Rajasthan Royals in the 1st leg of IPL 2021. He scored 78 runs in 6 innings at an average of 19.60. Batting down the lower order, he had a great strike rate of 144+. With the ball, the leg-spinner also picked 1 wicket while bowling 5 overs across the 7 games.

Rajasthan Royals currently hold the 5th spot in IPL 2021 points table. The Sanju Samson-led side won 3 matches and lost 4 out of the 7 they played. They have earned 6 points so far. RR’s victories came against Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders, and Sunrisers Hyderabad. However, the team lost against Punjab Kings, Chennai Super Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Mumbai Indians.

In the 2nd leg, the 2008 IPL champions will play their first match against Punjab Kings. The match will be played at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on September 21. The franchise will play a total of 7 games during group stage of the UAE leg.
