Arsenal can take a huge step toward sealing their spot in the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League tonight when they take on Serie A side Inter Milan.

The Gunners have won two of their first three games of the tournament, defeating Paris Saint-Germain and Shakhtar Donetsk. Inter hold the same record after beating Red Star Belgrade and BSC Young Boys.

Tonight's trip to the Italian champions comes after Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Newcastle United in the Premier League. The defeat left Mikel Arteta's men fifth in the league, seven points off Liverpool in top spot.

Inter sit second in the Serie A table, one point behind Napoli. Simone Inzaghi's men have started the 2024/25 season just as they finished last with Marcus Thuram and Lautaro Martinez scoring 14 goals between them already.

The fixture has been labelled as Arsenal's toughest of the eight in the new league format of the Champions League. Victory at the San Siro would see them put one foot in the next round with a kind run of fixtures awaiting them.

Declan Rice will miss the game after not training yesterday. However, Martin Odegaard could return for the first time since the end of August after travelling to Italy. Here, football.london looks at all the details to watch the contest.
