WATCH: Ireland HILARIOUSLY take Grand Slam bender to Garry Ringrose parents’ house
Ireland’s players took their drinking session to the house of Garry Ringrose’s parents after the centre could not handle another day on the lash.
Andy Farrell’s men claimed a Grand Slam on Super Saturday with a 29-16 triumph over England, following on from their 1948, 2009 and 2018 successes.
It was a huge moment for the country, the players and the coaches, and they have evidently celebrated in style.
Several days of drinking
After three days of drinking, Ringrose had evidently had enough and told his team-mates that he wouldn’t be joining them on the fourth day of the bender.
The rest of the Irish squad were seemingly not happy with the centre’s ‘excuse’ and had the excellent idea of taking the party to the 28-year-old instead.
They arrived at his parents’ house with beer in hand, two in Peter O’Mahony’s case, and were shown in by his father.
Presumably Garry was there, although that has yet to be confirmed.
Once the celebrations have died down, the players have the end of the season to think about with their respective provinces.
Munster, Leinster and Ulster all have Champions Cup last-16 ties, while Connacht are in the quarter-finals of the Challenge Cup.
In the United Rugby Championship, the four teams currently reside in the play-off places and could make the final shake-up.
Leinster have once again dominated the regular season, winning all 15 of their games, and they are followed by Ulster in third, Munster in fifth and Ulster in eighth.
Once those domestic duties have been completed, all attention turns to the Rugby World Cup where Ireland will go into the competition as one of the favourites.
They remain at the top of the rankings after their Six Nations success and will look to, at very least, get past the quarter-final stage for the first time ever.
