WATCH: Lovely team try from the Reds sets up narrow win against Fijian Drua
Reds number eight Harry Wilson finished off a beautiful team try in his side’s narrow 27-24 win over the Fijian Drua on Sunday in Super Rugby Pacific.
The hosts started the second-half brilliantly as the ball went through the hands of so many players in the build-up to this score.
Initially, the Reds were trying to move the ball quickly to exploit the space in the wider channel before hooker Matthew Faessler straightened the line before dropping it to Taj Annan, who in turn flung a sumptuous offload out wide to Wilson, and the star jogged over for a solid try.
Earlier on, the Fijian Drua were first on the board with a Frank Lomani penalty in the seventh minute, which the hosts responded to with Josh Flook’s first try of the day. However, James O’Connor would miss the conversion.

Flook added his second in the 29th minute with O’Connor converting, and the centre could have had a third just before half-time but spilt the ball near the line.
Wilson’s try would follow straight after the break as Suliasi Vunivalu got in on the action to score in the 47th minute as O’Connor kicked the conversion.
The momentum swung dramatically from there, with Ratu Rotuisolia and Kalaveti Ravouvou crashing over for tries.
Substitute Tom Lynagh kicked what proved to be the decisive penalty in the 70th minute before Losefo Masi scored a converted try immediately after making it a three-point game.
The margin would remain the same despite a nervous finish for Reds fans as the Queenslanders took home to the victory.
