Nick Kyrgios handed out a sound beating to Novak Djokovic at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells on Thursday, with a 6-4, 7-6 straight-sets victory.

It was the second tournament in a row where Kyrgios, the world number 16, had knocked out the Serbian world number two.

He did it in inimitable style, too, pausing mid-match to take from a spectator’s bag of crisps.
