Afghanistan’s star all-rounder Rashid Khan played a perfect replica of MS Dhoni’s helicopter shot during England’s T20 Blast 2021 tournament. The video of the shot was posted by the tournament organizers on social media and it has created a buzz among cricket fans all over the world.
Rashid Khan is currently playing for Sussex in the T20 Blast 2021 tournament. In a match against Yorkshire at Chester-le-Street on Monday, he smacked a helicopter shot to send the ball over the boundary. His blistering knock of 27 runs off just 9 deliveries also helped his team to pull off victory while chasing 178 in the quarterfinal 1 clash.

Rashid Khan was on fire while batting since the time he arrived on the crease. The Afghan all-rounder smacked a six with a helicopter shot just on the 3rd delivery he faced in the match. The video of the moment is getting viral on social media. Have a look at the video below.
Batting at No. 6 spot, the Afghan all-rounder perfectly executed the job of a finisher for Sussex. During his quickfire of 27 off 9, he stormed 2 sixes and 3 boundaries while remaining unbeaten. Sussex won the match by 5 wickets while reaching the 178-run target with 2 balls to go.
With the victory, Sussex also made its way into the semi-finals of T20 Blast 2021. Earlier, Yorkshire scored 177-7 with half-centuries by Tom Kohler-Cadmore and Gary Ballance, both of whom scored 55 runs each. Other than Rashid, opener Luke Wright scored crucial 54 runs for Sussex.
Meanwhile, Rashid Khan recently voiced his opinion against the Taliban takeover in his home country Afghanistan. He urged world leaders to help Afghanistan get out of the political turmoil and chaos caused due to the Taliban’s rise to power.
“Dear World Leaders! My country is in chaos, as thousand of innocent people, including children & women, get martyred everyday, houses & properties being destructed. Thousand families displaced. Don’t leave us in chaos. Stop killing Afghans & destroying Afghanistan. We want peace”, Khan wrote on Twitter.
After the withdrawal of US forces, Taliban forces captured the capital city Kabul, forcing Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani to flee from the country. Many foreign nationals, as well as citizens, are stranded in the nation seeking to leave the country. This has also created a situation of ruckus and chaos in Kabul International Airport.
