Watch: Rishabh Pant Shadow Bats At Non-Strikers End While Anderson Runs Up To Bowl To Rahane
Indian wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant was seen shadow batting just as James Anderson was running in to bowl to Ajinkya Rahane. He wasn’t aware that Anderson was on his way and was about to deliver the ball.
Pant had walked out to bat after the fall of Indian skipper Virat Kohli. Having reached his fifty for the first time in a while, Kohli was caught poking at a delivery outside off once again.
Pant, after arriving at the non-striker’s end, was shadow batting but Rahane was already in his batting stance. He sheepishly got back to the non-striker’s crease before Anderson delivered the ball.

Day 4 started off quite poorly for India, with overnight batsman Cheteshwar Pujara succumbing to Ollie Robinson. He misjudged an inswinging delivery and offered no shot, and the umpire turned down England’s appeal only for it to be overturned with the help of the DRS.
Kohli survived a few deliveries from James Anderson, including an overturned decision after being given out. He got to his fifty with a couple of crisp shots but fell soon after to Ollie Robinson.
The procession then began as India collapsed quite stunningly, something that they’ve become accustomed to in recent times. In the latest update, England was just a couple of wickets away from leveling the series.
