Indian player Rohit Sharma took a spectacular one-hand catch, which wasn’t a part of a dismissal, went unnoticed in the Lord’s Test that India won by 151 runs.

The five days of the Lord’s Test was a roller-coaster ride for fans with the match going down the wire on the fifth day where the Indian bowlers pulled off a spectacular win after they bowled out England for 120.

Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah escalates India’s lead

At the start of Day 5, it looked as if the match was going to be in England’s favour after Rishabh Pant and Ishant Sharma departed in the earlier stage of the first session. But India’s tail-enders charged against England bowlers to get some quick-fire runs to set the hosts a target of 271.

Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami got the wickets of England openers in their respective first overs with Ishant Sharma dismissed Jonny Bairstow at the stroke of tea to reduce their batting to 67/4.

India win at Lord’s after seven years

In the final session, Bumrah forced Root to poke at his back-of-length delivery with Virat Kohli taking a comfortable catch at first slip to pave the way for India. Mohammed Siraj did the rest of the formalities to give India a 1-0 lead in the five-match series.

However, everyone was rejoicing the moment, when Siraj cleaned James Anderson’s stumps as India won at Lord’s after seven years, but many of us failed to notice Rohit Sharma’s stunning catch, which wasn’t a part of any dismissal.

Siraj used the good length delivery to knock Anderson’s off-stump, after dislodging the bails, the ball flew towards the second slip region, where Rohit completed a stunner with his right hand.

India will move to Leeds to play the third Test against England starting on August 25 at the Emerald Headingley Stadium.
