Watch Tom Stoltman and Eddie Hall Literally Destroy a Gym During a Workout

Tom Stoltman, the reigning World's Strongest Man, is less than two weeks out from the imminent Britain's Strongest Man competition. As part of his preparation, he and his equally giant brother Luke have been spending some time in Stoke with strongman-turned-boxer Eddie Hall, who has previously held both titles.

In a new video on Hall's YouTube channel, the three of them take on a "brutal" loading session, and have a little competition to see who can do a 175kg weighted duck walk, then carry a 85kg barrel, 90kg sandbag and 90kg tire across the gym in the fastest time.

"Event training was just like this, me and my training partner would set events up and I would usually give him a handicap. If we did five implements, I'd give him five seconds off whatever time he did, and that would give me something to aim for. If he did 40 seconds, I'd try to do my implements in 35. Then if I did it in 36, technically because of the handicap, he'd beat me. It's always good to have someone doing events with you. If you're not doing it with somebody, it's really tough to train and improve on loading events."

Hall completes the challenge in 43 seconds, while Luke manages it in 32 seconds. Tom doesn't quite manage to beat his brother, and drops the tire so heavily that it actually busts through the gym wall and dislodges the door jamb. (continued below)

"I think Tom going through the wall like Juggernaut has put a little bit of a dampener on the session, so that's a wrap!" Hall jokes, before going on to state how interesting he finds it to compare the Stoltman's approach to training with his own previous experience.

"Tom is picking up those implements like they're feathers," he says. "Before the implements have even left the floor, he is moving." He adds that he has nothing to teach Stoltman when it comes to technique: "He's got it."
