Feb. 2—Webb City led Ozark by as many as 17 points in the fourth quarter on Friday night inside the Cardinal Dome at Webb City High School as it ran its winning streak up to three games with a 73-61 win.
The Cardinals (14-5) have scored 70 or more points in each game on this streak and have tallied at least that amount in six of their last seven games.
On Wednesday, they scored 86 in a 19-point victory over Branson — the second most in a game this season. Webb City has scored 80 or more in six games this year and is undefeated when doing so.
Ozark hung tough in the first half as it only trailed Webb City by 2 at halftime Friday night. But a 25-point third quarter allowed the Cardinals to get some separation and really pull away in the final stanza.
Webb City was led by Barron Duda's 25 points. Omari Jackson chipped in 18, while Holton Keith scored 16. Duda was a perfect 6 for 6 on free throws.
Jace Whatley led the Tigers (6-12) with 21 points and nine rebounds, and Kylan Pickren added 19 points. Ozark was hurt by its 27 turnovers.
Webb City's next game is at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Willard.
