Wednesday's Market Movers from Oddschecker

We kick off today’s market movers with SALAMAH in Beverley’s 17.45 7f Handicap. The 3yo made a successful debut at Chelmsford in September and though well beaten in a Newmarket nursery later that month, remains open to plenty of improvement. His trainer, Simon Crisford, has been firing in the winners lately and punters have snapped up the 5/1 on offer last night with the colt now 11/4 with one firm (best price 7/2).

In the preceding race at Beverley THE BLUES MASTER is all the rage in this morning’s betting. The Mark Johnston gelding stepped up to this trip in style when winning at Kempton in January, giving the impression he would be even more effective over a stiffer track such as this. Opening up at 9/4, the 3yo is now clear favourite with all firms and as short as 13/8 in places (best price 15/8).

In Wolverhampton’s 18.45 there has been money for EXCELLENT SUNSET at big prices. David Lanigan’s filly didn’t show a great deal on her debut run last July when finishing eight of 10 beaten 14l at Newmarket. However, better is obviously expected today with the 28/1 of this morning long gone and replaced by 8/1 with some bookies (best price 14/1).

Finally it’s over to Sedgfield and their 16.50 Handicap Hurdle where Brian Ellison’s DOWN TIME has been backed into favouritsm. A four-time winner from 48 starts, the 7yo ran a decent race over C&D last month and should prove competitive off his current handicap mark. 5/1 overnight, he’s now the 11/4 favourite (best price 3/1).
