  • Week 14 DraftKings NFL DFS Picks: Lineup advice for daily fantasy football tournaments

We're stacking AFC West — and fading AFC West — in Week 14's DraftKings GPP picks.

Stopping just short of hammering Jets WRs in Mile High, but don't mind if we tab the defense getting that Broncos QB situation. Hopefully we get better injury luck than last week and our upside plays hit.

For DraftKings' 13-game featured slate for NFL Week 14.

  • 1 QB Alex Smith, KC vs. OAK ($6,500)

Running Smith a week after he shredded the Jets means we'll have to choose other spots to fade popular plays. A home matchup with the Raiders at home won't go contrarian and this game-stack needs to hit — game stack with two of the seven defenses allowing more than 7.1 yards per attempt.

  • 2 RB Melvin Gordon, LAC vs. WAS ($7,800)

It's a rough slate for top-tier RBs with Le'Veon Bell in prime time, Todd Gurley and Leonard Fournette getting brutal matchups, and LeSean McCoy's offense sunk by quarterback. Gordon gets a Washington defense allowing the third-most rush yards and seventh-most per attempt since Week 11.

  • 3 RB Mike Davis, SEA @ JAX ($3,700)

Gio Bernard at $3,100 should prove the far more popular free square of the sub-$4K backs, hopefully stealing shares from Davis in a tough matchup. This bargain back pivot comes with similar expected workload, both assuming 70-plus percent of the RB work last week — though only true for Bernard when segmenting post-Mixon injury.

  • 4 WR Tyreek Hill, KC vs. OAK ($7,100)

The Kelce stack should get far more run than the Hill stack, and both have encouraging splits against Oakland. Hill averages 100 total yards and a receiving score over his past two Raiders spots, ignoring the first game when Hill only got 18 snaps. He comes off a week leading all WRs in yards and average depth of target (three-target minimum).

  • 5 WR Michael Crabtree, OAK @ KC ($6,700)

Another share of Raiders-Chiefs, made even more valuable by Amari Cooper's nagging ankle and Marcus Peters' suspension. Crabtree and Cooper combine for a 56-percent market share of attempted air yards, 10 higher than the next closest player. Expect work to funnel his way.

  • 6 WR Dez Bryant, DAL @ NYG ($5,900)

Janoris Jenkins has given Dez fits historically, but he just landed on IR. This creates a situation where the matchup splits mislead and we see the rare Meadowlands visit where Bryant's actually a great play. Since Zeke's suspension, he ranks fifth in target market share and 13th in air yards among WRs.

  • 7 TE Stephen Anderson, HOU vs. SF ($3,200)

Most people will probably either go Travis Kelce or drop way down to the intriguing sub-$4K options like Anderson, who would see his ownership fall if Trey Burton starts over Zach Ertz (concussion) at $2,900. Both fill a role that can easily hit 10 targets, though Brent Celek should see work. Team Burton vs. Team Anderson gonna be a thing this week, isn't it?

  • 8 FLEX Sammy Watkins, LAR vs. PHI ($5,600)

Watkins got the Patrick Peterson treatment last week but saw a season-high nine targets the week prior — Jared Goff's first outing sans Robert Woods. Philly allows the least DK points to opposing backs, and we're banking on work funneling to Watkins, while Cooper Kupp sees a lot of Pro Football Focus' top-graded primary slot corner in Patrick Robinson.

  • 9 D/ST Jets @ Broncos ($3,300)

The Broncos trail only Cleveland in picks on the season after Trevor Siemian chucked another three in Miami. Always nice when you can score the best QB matchup on slate for under $3,500.
