West Ham avoided a host of tougher tests in Friday's Europa League draw as they were put in Group H with Dinamo Zagreb, Genk and Rapid Wien.

The Hammers are in the competition proper for the first time, having twice failed in the early season qualifiers, and were joined by Leicester and Scottish giants Rangers and Celtic.

With the likes of Lyon and Napoli being drawn elsewhere, West Ham will fancy their chances of reaching the knockout stages after being drawn against the Croatian champions and the Belgium and Austrian league runners-up.

Leicester, who missed out on Champions League qualification on the final day of last season for the second year running, are back in the Europa League for the second year running, having been knocked out in the last 32 in 2020-21.

The Foxes face Napoli, Spartak Moscow and Legia Warsaw in Group C.

Rangers will face Lyon, Sparta Prague and Brondy, and Celtic were grouped with Bayer Leverkusen, Real Betis and Ferencvaros.
