West Ham exodus takes shape as second Moyes forward tipped for Serie A transfer alongside Scamacca
West Ham striker Gianluca Scamacca is not the only player who could swap the London Stadium for Serie A this summer, as fresh reports emerging from Italy claim one of his team-mates has become a target for AC Milan.
At the start of the month, it emerged that Scamacca is considering his West Ham future after an underwhelming start to life in England. He has only managed seven goals in 26 matches under David Moyes, as well as dealing with injury problems.
Recently, Italian giants Milan, Inter and Juventus have all been named as potential suitors.
Milan are in need of a new striker. This is because Olivier Giroud and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are both in the twilight years of their careers. Inter are in a similar situation when it comes to Edin Dzeko. Plus, loanee Romelu Lukaku is poised to return to Chelsea.
Juventus, meanwhile, will need a replacement for Dusan Vlahovic if he goes to Manchester United.
As per an update on Scamacca’s situation from Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, Juve will bid for the 24-year-old this summer. It is revealed that Juve failed to sign Scamacca from Sassuolo twice before his West Ham switch, but they will try again at the end of the season.

However, the report does not mention how much their offer will be worth or whether West Ham are open to a sale. Presumably the Irons will reject any proposals for Scamacca given the fact he has only recently arrived at the club. Although, this could change if relegation is confirmed.
Milan appear to be looking extensively in the Premier League market. Sport Witness, who cite Serie B News, claim Scamacca’s team-mate Said Benrahma is also in their sights.
West Ham ace seen as a ‘tempting opportunity’
Milan will try to improve their wide options in the summer, regardless of whether Rafael Leao moves on. Milan chiefs have identified Benrahma as a prime target and view him as a ‘tempting opportunity’.
The Rossoneri believe midfielder Ismael Bennacer could prove vital in the push for Benrahma. They have a good relationship through playing for the Algeria national team together, and Bennacer could therefore convince his compatriot on the transfer.
Perhaps one of the main reasons Milan have landed on Benrahma as a possible signing is West Ham’s precarious situation. They sit 17th in the Premier League table, only above the bottom three on goal difference.
If the east London club fight off relegation and stay in the top flight, then they will tell Milan to put up between €25-30m (£22-26m) for Benrahma.
The Serie A giants do not plan to meet that valuation though. They will instead offer €10m (£8.7m) plus Belgian winger Alexis Saelemaekers. West Ham will likely reject this proposal if they stay up though, so some negotiation may need to be done before a deal can be agreed.
However, if West Ham’s relegation is confirmed, then that player-plus-cash deal may prove enticing.
Scamacca and Benrahma are not the only players likely to depart West Ham if they lose their Premier League status. Big names such as Declan Rice, Jarrod Bowen and Nayef Aguerd would push for moves in this scenario.
Meanwhile, Liverpool have been urged to beat Arsenal in the race for a West Ham star.
