West Ham team news: Injuries, suspensions and line-up vs Swansea

West Ham desperately need to win a Premier League football match. The Hammers have slipped perilously close to the relegation zone after their dire 2-1 defeat to Hull City on Saturday - and things did not get any easier against Arsenal in midweek.

Spurs don't just hope, they expect

Slaven Bilic's side were desperately poor as they were beaten 3-0 at the Emirates by a team in the midst of a crisis of their own, and the Hammers now face a crunch game against Swansea.

The Swans are currently 18th, while the Hammers are 15th, but just five points separate the two teams. If West Ham lose, they may be dragged into a late-season relegation battle.

WEST HAM INJURIES

West Ham are currently in the midst of an injury crisis, with further injuries piling up after the loss to Arsenal,

Striker Andy Carroll was substituted with a groin injury against the Gunners, and it remains to be seen if he will recover in time for the encounter this weekend.

If he misses out Diafra Sakho will replace him in the starting XI, the striker having returned to full fitness.

Courtois warns Chelsea over Hazard

Michail Antonio, meanwhile, recovered from a bout of illness to play Arsenal and should be fine to play this weekend, but Pedro Obiang is out for the season.

Meanwhile, Angelo Ogbonna, Gokhan Tore and Winston Reid are long-term injury absentees, while doubts linger over Aaron Cresswell.

POTENTIAL WEST HAM LINE-UP

West Ham are not blessed with a great amount of squad depth and are likely to line up in much the same manner as they did against Arsenal.

Goal understands that Carroll asked to be withdrawn after "feeling" his groin, and Bilic may decide to play Sakho instead to ensure that his first-choice striker can play all 90 minutes.

Morata: Conte must have my old number!

With Cresswell doubtful, Arthur Masuaku is set to play at left back.

Robert Snodgrass, meanwhile, was placed on the bench against Arsenal, with Antonio playing in the No.10 role and Bilic is likely to continue in such a vein this weekend.
