After a slow start to the domestic campaign, there is a real feeling that Moyes’ team are in a position to push for glory in the Conference League.
The sight of an emotional Jose Mourinho lifting the inaugural trophy last season gave the third-tier tournament some added prestige and few would doubt that making a serious play for success in it would be yet another highlight for West Ham.
Here’s everything you need to know about the game.

West Ham vs FCSB team news
West Ham’s Ben Johnson is expected to miss the game as a result of a hamstring injury, while Aaron Cresswell has recently been suffering with a groin problem. Gianluca Scamacca could make his return after illness.
Tomas Soucek has a foot issue, while Craig Dawson is still working towards full fitness.
“[Scamacca’s] only just started training so I’m going to work towards him getting back if we can,” manager David Moyes said.
“We hope we can get him back but he’s really not been well for ten days, so if he’s fully fit I’d be very surprised. But certainly he’s trained today and he’s getting closer to full fitness.
“Craig Dawson’s back out training. He’s not been out training long, he’s finding his way back in but he’s getting back in amongst it now. He’s probably not fit enough [to start].”
