West Ham vs Leicester: Premier League prediction, kick off time, TV, live stream, team news, lineups, h2h results, odds

West Ham and Leicester City tonight go head to head in what could be a thrilling Premier League clash in east London.

The Hammers are looking to build on last season’s impressive sixth-placed finish, but also have Europa League football to juggle alongside their domestic ambitions.

David Moyes’ plans already looked to be coming unstuck in the first game at Newcastle as they twice trailed to the Magpies, but the Hammers fought back for an impressive 4-2 victory at St James’ Park.

As for Leicester, they won the FA Cup last season but have come up just short two years in a row in the case of Champions League qualification, so a top-four finish will be Brendan Rodgers’ priority this term.

Date, kick-off time and venue

West Ham vs Leicester City is scheduled for an 8pm BST kick-off on Monday, August 23, 2021.

The match will be played at the London Stadium.

Michail Antonio starts in attack, looking for his 48th Premier League goal, which would take him one ahead of Paolo Di Canio and make him West Ham's record goalscorer in the competition.

West Ham provisional squad: Fabianski, Coufal, Dawson, Ogbonna, Cresswell, Rice, Soucek, Fornals, Bowen, Benrahma, Antonio, Areola, Fredericks, Baptiste, Diop, Johnson, Lanzini, Coventry, Yarmolenko.

Jannick Vestergaard will miss tonight’s game after suffering an injury in training, joining Wesley Fofana, Jonny Evans and Ryan Bertrand on the sidelines.

Fofana suffered a fractured fibula during a recent friendly against Villarreal, while Evans is still recovering from a foot problem as he targets a return after next month's international break. Bertrand is ruled out after testing positive for Covid-19.

Leicester provisional squad: Schmeichel, Ward, Soyuncu, Amartey, Pereira, Castagne, Thomas, Tielemans, Soumare, Maddison, Albrighton, Under, Choudhury, Mendy, Ndidi, Praet, Vardy, Iheanacho, Perez, Daka.
