Football fans will be back at a Premier League fixture for the first time since March when West Ham host Manchester United at the London Stadium this evening.

The fixture will be the first top-flight league game to be held at a ground based in Tier 2 of the Government’s coronavirus restrictions since the national lockdown ended on Wednesday, meaning 2,000 spectators will be allowed to attend.

The Hammers will be hoping to give them the ideal welcome by keeping up their excellent recent form, arriving on the back of three successive wins.

United, meanwhile, were beaten by PSG in the Champions League in midweek, but had picked up a confidence-boosting win in the Premier League last weekend thanks to a terrific comeback from 2-0 down against Southampton.

Date, time and venue

West Ham vs Aston Villa is scheduled for a 5:30pm GMT kick-off on Saturday, December 5, 2020.

The match will be held in front of a limited crowd of 2,000 fans at the London Stadium.
