But Man United boss Erik ten Hag refused to withdraw his support for the Brazilian winger.

The trio sat out the recent defeat at Manchester City but David Moyes revealed in the week that the sickness bug was still about in their camp.

“They’ve been in today and done a little bit of training," said Moyes. “We are hoping all three will be available for the weekend.

“But we had one other player who was sent home this morning and another who said he didn’t feel so good.
