West Ham host Newcastle United in both sides’ first game of the new Premier League season.

The Hammers finished just two places above the relegation zone last term, though did end on a four-game unbeaten streak and will hope to show more of that kind of form this season.

For the Magpies it was the opposite; they were safe much earlier and finished 13th, but took only one point from their last five matches.

Transfer business has favoured the away side so far this summer, but both will hope for more recruits before the window shuts.
