To the surprise of no one, "College GameDay" will visit Tuscaloosa, Ala., for the 2019 version of the "Game of the Century" between No. 1 LSU and No. 2 Alabama.
The cross-division meeting No. 5 Penn State and No. 13 Minnesota was enticing as well, but that matchup just doesn't stand up to the SEC West showdown between the Tigers and Tide, which is the season's single-most important game in terms of determining the final College Football Playoff field.
Alabama boasts a 53-25-5 all-time record against LSU, including an eight-game win streak that dates back to these teams' meeting in the 2012 BCS championship game. That also includes three pitched shutout wins for Alabama, the most recent of which came last season. But LSU looks ready to finally get back on the right side of this series with an offense that ranks among the team's best — maybe ever. It's also worth noting LSU won the last "Game of the Century" meeting, which took place in Bryant-Denny Stadium in 2011.
With that, here's everything you need to know about "College GameDay" as it visits Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
