White Sox starting an all-Garcia outfield Friday night

Avisail, Willy and Leury Garcia will start in right, center and left field respectively.

When the White Sox take the field for the first time Friday night, their entire outfield will be united not just by the name on the front of the jersey, but the back as well.

Chicago will start three Garcias in the outfield against the Twins, with Avisail in right, Leury in center and Willy in left field.

Leury has appeared in six games for the White Sox this year, while Avisail has appeared in all eight and currently leads the league in batting average at .452.

Willy, on the other hand, is a more complicated matter, as his agent prematurely tweeted that Garcia had been promoted from AAA Charlotte.

This little wrinkle is reminscent of the Alou brothers — Matty, Felipe and Jesus — who played in the same outfield three times for the Giants.

According to Elias, this is the first time ever, though, that the three players with the same surname will start a game together.

The three Garcias are not related.

If the White Sox are serious about this Garcia initiaitve, they shoud contact former hurler Freddy Garcia to start the game and contact the Braves about acquiring Jaime Garcia. Also, retired quarterback Jeff Garcia likely isn't busy right now. He could probably man the hot corner.
