If you've ever wondered why Vincent Crabbe is replaced in Happy Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 2, read on.

The last Harry Potter film came out in 2011 so, granted, it probably hasn't been at the forefront of your mind ever since. A whole decade has passed since then. But that hasn't dampened quite how surprised we are by the reason behind Vincent Crabbe's character being replaced by Blaise Zibini in the Deathly Hallows Part 2 film.

If you read the final Harry Potter book by JK Rowling, you'll remember the memorable moment when Drago Malfoy, Crabbe and Gregory Goyle fought Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger in the room of requirement during the Battle of Hogwarts.

And yet, Crabbe is replaced by Blaise Zabini, another Slytherin student, during this scene in the film. WHY?

Apparently it's because the actor who played Crabbe, Jamie Waylett, actually landed himself in some serious trouble off screen, which eventually cost him his role in the last film in the Harry Potter franchise. Oh dear.

The BBC report Waylett was arrested in 2009 for growing marijuana in his family home, and later pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis and possession of a knife. He was 20-years-old at the time, and ordered to do 120 hours of unpaid work by Westminster Magistrates' Court.

The same year, Waylett was arrested and found guilty of violent disorder in during the London riots, BBC report. He was pictured 'holding a petrol bomb' and 'swigging from a stolen bottle of Champagne', and received a two year sentence for violent disorder and 12 months for handling stolen goods.

Reports claim it was Waylett's first arrest that had him removed him from the Harry Potter franchise, and interestingly, Warner Brothers made the decision to replace his character all together - rather than find an actor to play Vincent Crabbe in the last film.

Obviously viewers would have realised Crabbe was a different actor, but it would've stayed closer to the plot in the books if this was the case. Instead, Warner Bros. brought in actor Louis Cordice, who plays Zabini, to play Malfoy's sidekick - though he was actually also in The Half-Blood Prince and Deathly Hallows Part 1, just without such a prominent role.
