Hamza Igamane is not involved with Rangers away to Malmo this evening due to a PASSPORT issue.

The highly-rated attacker was a surprise omission from the squad ahead of their clash in Sweden tonight when the team news dropped on social media. Punters questioned why their talent was not included by manager Philippe Clement despite being named in the 25-man squad for the competition when that dropped earlier this month.

Now it has emerged that an issue with the player's passport prevented him from travelling with the squad for their matchday one tie in the Europa League and supporters were left perplexed.

In response to popular Gers fan account Heart & Hand sharing the information, one commented: "Hate the amateurism in this club absolutely embarrassing," as a second wrote: "Zero hours since our last nonsense."

One fan said: "We are a shambles," while a fourth simply questioned: "How can that happen?"

Igamane has been praised by punters for showing flashes of quality in recent Premiership outings and they hoped to see him in action on the bigger stage this evening before the mix-up put paid to that.
