Wigan back-rower Liam Farrell will undergo scans on the knee injury that saw him leave the field during the club’s 30-10 victory over St Helens.
Farrell, 32, was a try-scorer in the first half at the DW Stadium before limping from the field later in the second 40.
Head coach Matt Peet confirmed the England World Cup hopeful will be assessed to determine the extent of his injury.
“I’ve spoken to the physios and briefly to Liam Farrell. He’s going to need a scan on that knee,” Peet confirmed. “There’s not much worth saying other than that at the moment.”
Speaking to reporter Jenna Brooks on Sky Sports, Farrell himself added: “It doesn’t feel too good at the moment, I’ll be honest.”
"Very very pleased to put on a performance for the fans tonight"

Wigan 30-10 St Helens: Warriors secure home semi-final with derby win
Peet proud of performance
A brace from Bevan French and further tries from Liam Marshall, Jai Field and Farrell saw Wigan claim the win and cement their second spot in the table. It means they will enjoy a week off in the play-offs before a certain home semi-final tie.
Peet was proud of his performance following the victory and says the security of second place will allow him to rotate his squad in the final two regular fixtures. The side travel to Hull KR on Monday before hosting Catalans in the final round.
He said: “I was proud with the manner and the commitment the lads showed for one another.
“Their desire to defend the goal line. It was that element of the performance that makes us proud of one another. I thought we showed a hell of a lot of commitment to one another and hard work.
“I like the fact we’ve nailed second. It means we can be smart with our selections in the next week.
“We’ve still got to go to these games and look to build. But it means we can maybe avoid a few risks with anyone who has slight knocks or aren’t 100%.”
