While the entire Florida Panthers organization is trying to ride out the remainder of its underwhelming season without incident, Willy Nylander is just out here being a savage.

After capitalizing on a turnover at the Panthers blue line and subsequently losing the puck off a stick check from Aaron Ekblad, Nylander got on his horse and ruthlessly picked the pocket of Evgenii Dadonov in the neutral zone before busting towards the Panthers goal and delivery a slick feed to Zack Hyman.

Two of the major questions pertaining to Nylander leading up to his 8th overall selection by Toronto in 2014 were his tenacity on the back-check and his willingness to share the puck in the offensive zone. Welp, this play was just one example of how far a player can evolve in just a couple short years.

After a a slow start to the campaign, Nylander entered Tuesday third on the Maple Leafs with 48 points – behind only Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner.
