The 28-year-old from Newport has made 12 appearances this season after his entire 2021/22 campaign was wiped out by a serious knee injury.

Hewitt made his debut against the Scarlets in November 2013 and has crossed for 34 tries, with his exploits earning several Wales call-ups without a cap.

He follows back rowers Harri Keddie and Ollie Griffiths, tighthead Lloyd Fairbrother, hooker Elliot Dee, centre Jack Dixon and lock Joe Davies in signing fresh terms.
