Wins for Agen and Brive

Brive continued to move themselves away from trouble in the Top 14 with a 22-9 victory at Lyon, while Agen overcame Castres 23-12.

Lee Thomas knocked over three penalties for Lyon, but his effort was matched by the boot of Mathieu Belie, who then kicked the visitors ahead on the stroke of half time.

And a try midway through the second half from Ronnie Cooke, converted by Belie, settled the contest.

Agen secured their position in mid-table with victory over fourth-placed Castres.

The early try from Gert Muller settled the nerves for the home side, and Conrad Bernard kept the hosts ahead with some solid kicking.

Romain Teulet mustered four penalties for the visitors.
