Woods withdrew midway through the fourth round at the WGC-Cadillac Championship at Doral in his last outing as a precautionary measure. He insisted that he would still be fit to play the first Major of the season, the Masters from April 5-8.

And with no apparent limp, Woods allayed fears about his fitness, opening his round with two birdies representing Team Albany at the Tavistock Cup.

His team were third of four after day one, three shots adrift of Isleworth and one behind hosts Lake Nona. Queenswood lagged behind on 17-under-par.
