Hamburg's Maxim Choupo-Moting scored a fine equaliser for Cameroon as the African side held Germany 2-2 in their final World Cup warm-up match on home soil.

Germany controlled the first half and missed a number of clear chances to open the scoring, with Mesut Oezil putting the ball wide with only the goalkeeper to beat from 12 yards inside a minute.

Mario Goetze struck the post after being sent clean through and Sami Khedira headed wide as Germany looked to clinch the goal their dominance deserved.

Cameroon grew in confidence as the game went on and shocked Germany with the opener, with Samuel Eto'o scoring from 12 yards before demonstrating his now trademark 'old man' celebration.

Germany levelled quickly through Thomas Mueller's excellent header before Andre Schuerrle made it 2-1 with a tap-in after Lukas Podolksi's powerful run and cross - despite the Arsenal forward being clearly offside when he received the ball.

The game ended with a moment of great quality by Choupo-Moting, who capped a fine individual display with an impressive run and finish into the bottom corner.

1' - GERMANY CHANCE! Almost a goal for Germany after a minute! The ball is stabbed through to Oezil, who is onside, but coaxes his shot just wide. Should be 1-0!

12' - OFF THE POST! Great break by Germany as Mueller hooks the ball into Goetze's path. The Bayern forward drives forward and drills a low shot at goal, which Itandje palsm onto the frame of the goal.

36' - GERMANY CHANCE! A corner finds Khedira unmarked in the box, but the Real Madrid midfielder fails to make proper contact and his header is glanced wide from six yards.

38' - CAMEROON CHANCE! Eto'o slides a superb pass into Moukandjo's path, but the forward is denied by Weidenfeller, who raced off his line to smother the first-time shot. Very good save.

62' - GOAL! Germany 0-1 Cameroon - Eto'o scores for Cameroon! The striker's shot is parried well by Weidenfeller, the cross comes back into Eto'o, who steers it into the bottom corner. 1-0 Cameroon!

66' - GOAL! Germany 1-1 Cameroon - Mueller equalises for Germany! Boateng hooks in a cross from the right and Mueller, arriving late into the box, buries a superb header past Itandje.

71' - GOAL! Germany 2-1 Cameroon - Schuerrle makes it 2-1! Podolski was at least a yard offside as he burst forward down the left and squared for Schuerrle, who only had to tap in.

78' - GOAL! Germany 2-2 Cameroon - Cameroon's Choupo-Moting scores a fine individual goal to level the game. Driving down the left and into the box, the Hamburg star fires an inch-perfect shot into the far bottom corner.

Can Germany win the World Cup? Yes, but Joachim Loew will be rightly worried about a couple of things. 1. Sami Khedira's fitness: Germany need Khedira to ge as many minutes under his belt as possible because he is a key member of the midfield. This game did him the world of good, but he was still some way off the pace. 2. Their lack of recognised strikers: Mario Goetze filled the void as a false nine, but Germany need an out-an-out striker they can rely on. Miroslav Klose is 36 and Andre Schuerrle is not a proper striker. Not scoring enough goals could be Gemany's downfall in Brazil.

Maxim Choupo-Moting (Cameroon) - Benefitted from Sami Khedira's obvious lack of match fitness, but still the one player Germany couldn't get to grips with. Lively, combative and scored a fine goal late on to secure the draw.
