World’s first edible NFT launched by Frank’s RedHot

Frank’s RedHot has officially launched the world’s first ‘edible NFT’ using a new spoof blockchain called ‘Bonecoin’.

Built using ‘proof-of-bone’ technology – which will see fans exchange images of their game-day chicken wing bones to earn Bonecoins.

Things are set to kick off on February 2 when Eli Manning, the legendary NFL quarterback turned Frank’s RedHot® ambassador, will be taking to NYC in the Frank’s ‘wing wagon’ handing out free buffalo wings to get people started accumulating Bonecoin. Comedian Eric Andre will also be participating in the campaign.

“I’m excited to give fans another way to be a part of the game while enjoying Frank’s RedHot,” said Eli Manning.

The NFT has ignited an intense competition – with the holder of the most Bonecoins tipped to win the elusive one-of-a-kind NFT and an edible replica – the eNFT. Bonecoins will be available until February 13.

“Frank’s RedHot keeps a pulse on the latest trends, and we are particularly excited about giving fans the opportunity to tap into the NFT space in a saucy and interactive way,” said Alia Kemet, VP of Creative & Digital, McCormick.

“We’re excited to be the first to offer an edible NFT, or what we’re calling an eNFT.

“What better way to enjoy football than with your own Frank’s wing art – both digital and edible?”
