World's Most Dominant Athlete, Ronda Rousey Lands Sports Illustrated Cover

The Magnitude of Ronda Rousey’s Fame Truly Revealed After Loss to Holly Holm

UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey is famous for her in-cage dominance, especially considering that she's finished her last two opponents in a combined 30 seconds. Of her 11 professional victories and 14 overall (including amateur bouts), she has only once gone outside of the first round.

One of the most decorated fighters in the UFC, Rousey is also becoming one of the most famous for her accolades outside of the Octagon as well.

She's won an ESPY award and been featured in the ESPN Magazine body issue. She's been named Business Insider's Most Dominant Athlete Alive. She appeared at Wrestlemania 31 alongside The Rock. She's appeared on The Tonight Show (and nearly every other possible news/magazine show). She's acted in several movies, been in Maxim Magaznine, and featured in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.

Her latest accolade? The cover of Sports Illustrated.

O ne of the most coveted honors in the sports world, only one other mixed martial artist has been featured on the cover of the SI; that being Roger Huerta. The cover story when Huerta was on the face of the magazine was about mixed martial arts in general, not specifically about him.

This time it's all about Rousey.

The new Sports Illustrated cover is all about Ronda Rousey and her rise to dominance, as SI agreed with BI, naming her the most dominant athlete in the world.

The Ronda Rousey edition of SI is set to hit the newstands on Wednesday.
