The rallies involved in next year's World Rally Championship have just one more day to sign and return contracts to the FIA if they want to be part of the 2013 calendar.
As revealed in this week's AUTOSPORT magazine, there are significant concerns from many of the rally organisers at the demand the contract makes for them to pay an additional £80,000 to be part of the series.
The president of the FFSA Nicolas Deschaux wrote to the WRC Commission president Jarmo Mahonen and FIA president Jean Todt to outline his concerns with the contract.
Other event organisers were in full support of Deschaux's letter and the feeling was that nobody would sign contracts, forcing a debate on the subject at next week's World Motor Sport Council meeting (June 15).
The five-page agreement issued by the FIA on May 28 was required to be signed and back in Paris by tomorrow (June 8) afternoon.
A 12-round 2013 calendar had been expected to be revealed at the WMSC meeting next week.
See this week's AUTOSPORT for full details of Deschaux's letter to the sport's governing body.
