League Two club Wrexham have secured a taste of Hollywood with their latest sponsorship deal thanks to A-list actor Blake Lively, wife of co-owner Ryan Reynolds.

The Welsh club have gained worldwide recognition following their takeover by Reynolds and fellow Hollywood actor Rob McElhenney, with their Netflix documentary taking them worldwide following a £1.8 million takeover in 2021.

New fans were treated to a dramatic promotion push from the National League this year as Wrexham secured promotion and a place in League Two for the first time in 15 years, with the co-owners utilising their fame and wealth to grow the exposure of the title chase.

Their presence helped secure a shirt sponsorship deal with social media platform TikTok, and other recent commercial deals have included Expedia.

But an announcement on Wednesday by the club confirmed the identity of their new training shirt partner in Betty Buzz, the non-alcoholic drinks company owned by Lively.

“Our team had, of course, heard of Wrexham AFC but once we officially learnt about their refreshing vision, we knew it was the right official fit for our refreshing sparkling beverage,” Lively said.

Lively has attended games alongside her husband as Wrexham won the National League this season with a record total of 111 points. After reaching the fourth tier of English football, Reynolds and McElhenney rewarded the team with a trip to Las Vegas.

A new 5,000-seat stand is being built to raise the capacity at the club's Racecourse Ground to 15,000 after gaining approval from local authorities, and the venue is due to host Kings Of Leon this summer, which will help generate further revenue ahead of the new campaign.

The team are also touring America this summer, when they will play LA Galaxy II and Premier League teams Manchester United and Chelsea in pre-season.
