Ben Wright rescued Glamorgan's innings against Nottinghamshire

A half-century from Ben Wright helped Glamorgan post a total of 181 for eight in their Clydesdale Bank 40 match against Nottinghamshire in Swansea.

Wright came in with score on a precarious 88 for five and smashed 62 off 70 balls, including four boundaries and two sixes, to help steady things for the hosts.

Marcus North contributed 35 but it was a disappointing total for Glamorgan, who came unstuck against the bowling of Samit Patel (three for 47) and Graeme White (three for 28).

Rain caused problems elsewhere as Scotland's Group B clash against Durham at Uddingston was abandoned with a ball bowled.

Scotland lie at the foot of the Group B standings, two points behind their opponents.

Leicestershire's Group A match against fellow strugglers Essex was also held up by the weather, with play due to start at 4pm in Chelmsford.

The contest between high-flying Middlesex and Worcestershire at Uxbridge was reduced to 36 overs a side after rain delayed proceedings.

England batsman Eoin Morgan starred for Middlesex, who reached 229 for four from their allotted overs.

Morgan was unbeaten on 120 while Josh Davey was 53 not out as the pair rescued the hosts from a worrying 67 for four with a fifth-wicket stand of 162.
