Wright, Wilson, Raphael - Coventry City injury news ahead of West Bromwich Albion trip
Coventry City will travel to West Bromwich Albion this week without leading scorer Haji Wright as the USA international continues to recover from an ankle ligament injury.
The 26-year-old has been missing for the last four matches since falling awkwardly in the dying minutes of the 2-2 draw at Sunderland last month and continues to be a doubt ahead of Wednesday night’s trip to The Hawthorns and Saturday’s CBS Arena clash with Hull City.
Asked if the striker with seven goals so far this term has any chance of being back this week, Sky Blues head coach Frank Lampard said after Saturday’s 1-0 win at Millwall: “No, we’re still waiting on him.”

City’s only other senior absentee at this moment in time is goalkeeper Ben Wilson who has been out for two months with a knee ligament injury. The experienced stopper, however, is edging closer to full fitness after moving out of the gym and making a return to the grass last week in order to step up his rehabilitation.
“He’s progressing,” said Lampard, speaking about Wilson ahead of Saturday’s win at The Den. He’s been outside and the work he’s doing is very monitored.
“We just have to be a bit cautious with him because of his injury with his knee and nature of what goalkeepers do, so we have to make sure he is completely right.”
Elsewhere, winger Raphael Borges Rodrigues is continuing to train full-time with the first team, hopeful that the new boss will include him in a matchday squad soon.
