The Barcelona legend picks his ideal player, combining elements such as acceleration, first touch and even hairstyle

Barcelona legend Xavi has said that his ideal footballer would have the strength of his once-rival Cristiano Ronaldo.

The pair used to go head-to-head in Clasico matches when the Spaniard was at the heart of Barca's midfield, but he's spent the last two years in Qatar with Al-Sadd.

In an interview with CNN, Xavi revealed that his perfect player would have contain Ronaldo's strength because the Real Madrid No.7 is a "very physical player, he is an example of it".

Another Real Madrid star, Gareth Bale, came out on top in terms of acceleration, with Xavi also touching on the pace of Eden Hazard, Pedro, Lionel Messi and Ronaldo.

When it comes to first touch, Sergio Busquets comes out on top. Xavi described him as the “most important player at Barcelona in the midfield now.”

His long-time midfield partner Andres Iniesta was not to be forgotten, either, with the Spain international making the cut for his renowned playmaking vision.

It wasn’t all about technical attributes, however, with David Beckham even making the mix for his fashion sense, alongside Pique, who comes out on top when it comes to hairstyle.

In terms of sense of humour Iniesta came out on top again, while Javier Mascherano's personality completes Xavi’s perfect player.
