Our Week 14 Yahoo lineup for GPP tournaments might cause some double takes, but we'll just tell you now that you're not seeing things: Yes, we have a Dolphins stack. Maybe we're just a week late and would've been better off using that in our NFL DFS advice last week, but the Jets present another opportunity as an exploitable opponent. If you really want to wind up at the top of a tournament leaderboard, you have to take some chances, and Ryan Fitzpatrick is leading ours.
Week 13 was an ugly week for this lineup. Sam Darnold and Robby Anderson didn't deliever as expected against the Bengals, and DJ Chark didn't produce in an obvious matchup against the Buccaneers. Even paying up for Christian McCaffrey somehow didn't work. Alas, you can't win them all.
NFL DFS Week 14: Yahoo GPP Lineup Picks
QB Ryan Fitzpatrick, Dolphins @ Jets ($23). There's really nothing about the Jets that suggests to me that Fitzpatrick can't come close to repeating his 365 yards and three scores from Week 13. There could be an INT or two sprinkled in, but we know Fitzmagic will be slinging it and be at low ownership.
RB Nick Chubb, Browns vs. Bengals ($29). We're going with the good ol' RB-D/ST stack with the idea that gameflow will dictate plenty of control-the-clock runs by Chubb against a defense that won't succeed in stopping him too often.
RB Leonard Fournette, Jaguars vs. Chargers ($29). Fournette's pushed his floor so high by, of all things, being a good pass-catcher. It's hard to avoid him at what's a very fair price against basically any opponent.
WR DeVante Parker, Dolphins @ Jets ($20). Fitzpatrick's only trusty WR at this point is Parker, and maybe his big Week 13 will have some people on him, but there'll still be enough of a bias against the Dolphins to ride this stack to some success.
WR Cooper Kupp, Rams vs. Seahawks ($23). Kupp's price has been dropping, and sure, the production hasn't been there the same way it was early in the season. But Jared Goff looked better (albeit against a bad opponent) in Week 13, so Kupp's next big day could be coming.
WR Jakobi Meyers, Patriots vs. Chiefs ($10). It was Meyers, not Mohamed Sanu, who saw starter snaps on Sunday Night Football. Maybe Sanu was still dinged up, but more often it was just Meyers preferred to the veteran. We'll take a shot that that usage continues enough in a shootout to get Meyers some production.
TE Mike Gesicki, Dolphins @ Jets ($12). Gesicki is probably Fitzpatrick's second-favorite target at this point and presents another great jump-ball option next to Parker. If we're going all-in on a Dolphins lineup construction that will give us one of the more unique lineups on the board, we have to take Gesicki, too.
FLEX Dalvin Cook, Vikings vs. Lions ($37). A few cheaper plays allow the luxury of Cook against a terrible run defense. Add in the fact that we have three bellcow running backs and our lineup's floor should be super high -- we just need Miami to hit.
D/ST Cleveland Browns vs. Bengals ($15). Nothing about an Andy Dalton-led offense is scary at this point, and he's due for a turnover or two after a clean game in his return to the lineup.
