Yahoo Sport UK has teamed up with Bet4Causes to bring you a preview of the day’s British racing – and The Night Hawk marks your card.

Each day we will mark your card, providing a preview of the day’s racing and offering what the experts feel will be the value bets of the day.

Take a look at our Lucky 15 selections (four singles, six doubles, four trebles and a four-fold) for the British meetings on Monday, October 24, 2016.

LUCKY 15 SELECTIONS

ALQAMAR (Redcar 2.50) can probably book his place on the plane to Dubai for the winter by winning the 1m1f maiden. The Charlie Appleby-trained juvenile, a grandson of the dual Classic winner Kazzia, is not one of the leading lights in the Godolphin battalions but showed plenty in two starts to think he can at least win at this level. The son of Dubawi stuck on well behind the odds-on Star Archer at Haydock on his debut and again over a mile at Newmarket, was not beaten far by Eiminent. He is bred to stay further and while today’s trip may still be on the sharp side, it should be within his compass.

CHIPPING (Redcar 1.50) had the dogs barking ahead of his debut in a 6f all-weather maiden at Newcastle a couple of weeks ago. However, the Michael Dods-trained son of Dark Angel, who cost 90,000 Euro as a yearling, and was strong in the market, finished third to El Hombre. He was away from the pace on the stands’ side, so had excuses and in the circumstances shaped quite well. That was a fair start and he should be able to build upon it.

TAWDEEA (Leicester 4.20) has enjoyed a good summer, winning three times for David O’Meara, twice in soft ground and once on the all-weather. The progressive four-year-old has risen in the weights as a result of his victories (which included the Old Newton Cup) and while dropped 2lb subsequently after two disappointing runs off a mark of 104 at Goodwood and York, both runs came on ground that was a shade too quick. The Intikhab gelding was much better off a break when back to 1m2f here earlier this month, when beaten a length and a half by Fabricate. He goes off the same mark of 102 in a competitive 1m4f handicap, but the good to soft ground should be in his favour and equipping him with first-time cheek-pieces could bring forth improvement.

BLUE CLIFFS (Redcar 4.30) may be good enough to take the 7f maiden for Michael Appleby’s yard. The son of Canford Cliffs made his debut in a five-runner event in good to soft ground, but found things happening a little too quickly for him over the 6f trip. Though fourth, he stayed on quite well, showing enough ability to think he would progress on his next outing. Appleby pitches him into a 7f maiden today and of those seven rivals that have run, his form stands up as well as any.
