Yahoo Sport UK’s horse racing Lucky 15 – Wednesday’s top picks

Yahoo Sport UK has teamed up with Bet4Causes to bring you a preview of the day’s British racing – and The Night Hawk marks your card.

Each day we will provide you with a preview of the day’s racing, offering what the experts feel will be the value bets of the day.

Take a look at our Lucky 15 selections (four singles, six doubles, four trebles and a four-fold) for the British and Irish meetings on Wednesday, May 25, 2016…

LUCKY 15 SELECTIONS

AUNTY ANN (Newton Abbot 6.10) was a little fortunate to win a novices’ hurdle here on her British debut, as the favourite fell and another likely challenger was impeded, but she travelled well on the front end and kept up the gallop to the line. That mares’ event was run over a 2m2½f and she appears to have plenty of stamina judged on her 3m Irish point-to-point victory in January. She runs under a penalty against her own sex again and should benefit for the extra distance in this 2m5½f novices’ hurdle.

GOLD FAITH (Kempton 7.50) was well backed to win a modest 7f maiden here last September on his second start. Gelded over the winter, the Dark Angel three-year-old, who cost 200,000 guineas as a yearling, did not appear to be in love with the soft ground at Epsom on his seasonal debut and finished a tame fifth to Medburn Dream over 1m½f last month. Ralph Beckett’s representative is likely to appreciate a return to the all-weather surface and certainly this 1m3f trip should bring forth plenty of improvement.

CLASSY ANNE (Hamilton 3.05) has an excellent chance of landing her fourth course and distance win in the 5f handicap. Jim Goldie’s six-year-old mare won off a 3lb higher mark this time last year and this race is a couple of classes below that. She showed decent form when going close at Ayr last week in a Class 3 handicap and runs off the same mark in this lesser event.

REMARKABLE LADY (Gowran Park 8.00) was short-headed into second on her second start at Down Royal last September and progressed to run in Listed company at Leopardstown a month later, when she caught the eye staying on well over 1m1f. Dropped to a mile for her seasonal bow, she lacked sharpness over an inadequate trip at Killarney, but this 9½f trip tonight should see her in the shake-up now that the cobwebs have been blown away.
