Yasir Hameed can help Pak resolve batting woes: Report

Karachi, Mar 16 (ANI): Veteran Pakistani batsman Yasir Hameed, who hit a record two centuries on his Test debut against Bangladesh, can help resolve the batting woes of the national team, according to a report. Hameed, who scored fastest 1,000 runs in international cricket in Asia, has not played any Tests since he last played against England in 2010. However, The Nation reports that Hameed, with his 25 Tests and 56 ODIs, is tailor-made for the current team for the World Twenty20 as he can hit forceful strokes to any given bowler and was the top scorer in the recently-concluded domestic T20 cricket with an average of over 82,500 plus run in four-dayers. The report also said that Hameed is a long-term solution to the longer-version of the game given his high calibre, and keeping in mind the facts that co-veteran Younus Khan is not considered for 50-overs game and captain Misbah-ul Haq is soon coming close to an end of his career.
