Breeders' Cup Turf winner Yibir heads up a super strong Charlie Appleby team for day one of the Guineas meeting at Newmarket on Friday, April 29.. Godolphin send five runners the short hop from Stanley House Stables with none bigger than 5/1 to win their respective races. Yibir, a four-year-old son of Dubawi, racked up a hat-trick over Summer and Autumn last year, which culiminated in a half length win over Broome in the Breeders' Cup Turf at Del Mar. He goes in the Betfair Exchange Jockey Club Stakes on the Rowley Mile at Newmarket in the Group 2 contest worth a cool £65,217 to the winner. Before that Yibir tasted success in the Jockey Club Derby Invitational Stakes at Belmont Park and the Great Voltigeur Stakes at York. A neck defeat in the 2022 Dubai Sheema Classic was disappointing with Yibir looking well placed to win but he has a great chance to make amends at flat racing HQ. "Yibir was last seen in the Sheema Classic. He was the winner of the Breeders' Cup Turf and he is going to head towards the Jockey Club Stakes and hopefully that will springboard him on to a trip to America for the Man O' War Stakes," Appleby said. Appleby's first entry of the day is New Kingdom in the British Stallion Studs EBF Conditions Stakes. The Dubawi colt wintered in the UAE and will aim to build on a win at Haydock when last seen on these shores. In the 13.50, Nations Pride is favourite for the Best Odds On The Betfair Exchange Newmarket Stakes, with the Teofilo colt looking for the four timer following a hat-trick of wins which culminated at Meydan.

Noble Truth in the Betfair King Charles II Stakes and Light Of Peace in the Betfair Maiden Fillies' Stakes are also likely to go off at short prices. Noble Truth was a good second in the Qatar Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere last year while Light Of Peace is a well bred Dubawi filly heading for a debut on a scintillating first day of racing for flat racing fanatics, building up to the 2000 and 1000 Guineas over the weekend.
