Yusuf Kabadayi a Rangers transfer target as 'concrete' interest emerges in Bayern Munich youngster

Rangers have a "concrete" interest in Bayern Munich youngster Yusuf Kabadayi, according to reports in Germany.

The forward, 20, spent last season on loan at Schalke in the German second tier and impressed enough for them to be keen to exercise their option to buy. However, it turned out that the overall package was to expensive for them and that leaves the transfer path open for other interested clubs.

Gers are believed to be one of them, with Sky Germany reporting they are interested along with Serie A side Lecce and Bundesliga new boys St Pauli. Kabadayi signed a new deal last year before heading out on loan and that contract runs until next summer.

The report states that the player is in talks with his parent club about what happens next. It's claimed anything is on the table, with the chance of another loan spell away or even a permanent deal being struck this summer. It's also possible he signs another new deal with Bayern before heading out. Prior to the loan at Schalke, his only experience was with Bayern Munich II in the German regional leagues.

Rangers have already signed Brazilian left-back Jefte as well as signing Mohamed Diomande and Oscar Cortes on permanent deals. They are expected to press on with further business as Philippe Clement overhauls his squad.
