Yusuf Kabadayi transfer fee 'set' with Rangers in race for Bayern Munich youngster

Rangers would have to stump up £850,000 to sign Yusuf Kabadayi this summer, according to reports in Germany.

The Light Blues are reportedly one of the clubs eyeing a transfer for the Bayern Munich youngster after his loan at Schalke. The 2.Bundesliga side held an option to buy the 20-year-old permanently but were unable to find the cash for it and he's back at the German giants for now.

Kabadayi has just one year left on his deal after signing a two-year extension before heading out on loan last year. Previous reports had suggested any eventuality could happen at this point, with Bayern open to letting him leave permanently or also keeping him longer term and sending him out temporarily again.

But now, Der Werden claim they would be willing to part with him for a fee of £850,000. It's a sum of money definitely within Rangers' reach as Philippe Clement puts together a rebuild.

Bundesliga new boys St. Pauli and Serie A side Lecce are ready to battle the Ibrox men for his signature. Kabadayi was recently spotted in the UK for the Champions League final and that had Gers fans hoping transfer talks could take place while he was in the country.
