1-Point Wonders! 6 Teams With the Most Draws in Europe's Top 5 Leagues This Season

Sometimes a draw is just as good as a win, but sometimes it's simply isn't... The following six teams, Europe's leaders in drawing this season, will not be best pleased with topping a list of this sort, but for others they'll be satisfied with mid-table mediocrity so long as they aren't caught up in a relegation battle. Here are the Six Teams With the Most Draws in Europe's Top Five Leagues This Season... Number of draws in the Premier League this season: 15 Jose Mourinho might as well be...

FC Koln

Number of draws in the Bundesliga this season: 13

Currently seventh in the German top flight with just a single game remaining, the Billy Goats have been highly dependent on French striker Anthony Modeste's goals this season and when the 29-year-old has failed to hit the target, Peter Stoger's side have normally limped to a draw.

Middlesbrough

Number of draws in the Premier League this season: 13

Unlike most of the teams in this list, Middlesbrough will not be playing top flight football next year, after their relegation to the Championship was confirmed last week.

Having sacked Aitor Karanka midway through the season for not winning any games, his successor Steve Agnew hardly did much better.

Rennes

Number of draws in Ligue 1 this season: 14

Set to finish in the top half of the table, Stade Rennais will be disappointed with this season's outcome, having finished last campaign in 5th spot.

Christian Gourcuff's side have struggled to replace Ousmane Dembele, whom they sold to Dortmund last summer for what is believed to have been a club record sale.

Torino

Number of draws in Serie A this season: 14

The Turin-based side have improved on last season's 12th placed finish in the Italian top flight, with Sinisa Mihajlovic's men expected to finish 9th this time round.

Much of Torino's success is down to the goals of prolific striker Andrea Belotti and Il Toro will have a hard job at trying to keep the 23-year-old at Stadio Olimpico.

Saint-Etienne

Number of draws in Ligue 1 this season: 14

Almost a carbon copy of Rennes, Saint-Etienne have failed to match their form from last season and are stuck on 50 points, like Rennes, after finishing in the top six a year ago.

Les Verts will likely use their participation in the Europa League as the distraction for their poor form domestically this season.

Manchester United

Number of draws in the Premier League this season: 15

Jose Mourinho might as well be called the 'Drawing One' now after leading his Manchester United side to 15 stalemates in the English top flight this season.

With the Europa League final set to determine whether it has been a successful season or not for the Red Devils, their league campaign has been nothing short of forgettable.
