Red Star Belgrade vs Arsenal, Europa League: live score updates

7:48PM 88 min This match did not deserve that goal. It was phenomenal from the three senior players in the Arsenal side. The build-up, the passing, the vision and then the finish. Wow. 7:46PM GOAL! Arsenal take the lead right at the death - Olivier Giroud with the goal to make it 0-1. Crvena Zvezda 0 - 1 Arsenal (Olivier Giroud, 85 min) Oh my word! That is an incredible goal. Wilshere and Walcott are the creators with some scintillating one-touch interplay before Giroud makes light work of Walcott's header inconveniently falling a metre behind him and simply swivels to bicycle kick it past Borjan and into the top corner.  7:43PM 83 min Perhaps there was a case for a second yellow. Perhaps Rodic's arm did catch Coquelin as he jumped. But I still think it's incorrect. 7:42PM 82 min Red Star have now made their second and third substitutions of the match with Pesic and Gobeljic on in place of Boakye and Srnic. Still no changes for Arsenal. 7:41PM 80 min Oi oi. Red Star will play the final 10 minutes of this match with 10 men after Rodic is shown a second yellow card for a collision with Coquelin. That's an incredibly harsh decision as replays show he did little more than simply jump for a header, with Coquelin crumpling to the ground. 7:41PM Red card! Milan Rodic sent off for Crvena Zvezda Benoit Bastien shows Milan Rodic a second yellow card - he's off. 7:39PM Time on ball (60 - 75 min) Possession: Crvena Zvezda vs Arsenal 7:36PM 76 min I'm sure the Arsenal manager would love some firepower to bring off the bench and shake things up a little right now, but his options are fairly paltry. Neither side is showing too much ambition at the moment. 7:33PM 73 min Good play by Maitland-Niles who delves into his box of tricks with a step-over or two as he heads to the byline and wins a corner. The cross is slightly behind Giroud, who can't get over the ball and clips it way into the night sky. 7:31PM 71 min I don't think anyone's going to score tonight. 7:29PM 68 min Here come Red Star on the break yet again and it is Radonjic haring down the left. He manages to work his way into the Arsenal penalty area and decides to try his luck on goal rather than look inside for help, only to fire straight into Cech's hands at the near post. I'm sure this man would be more than happy to come away with a point tonight... Credit: getty images 7:25PM 64 min ... surprisingly it is Nelson who will take. He has a short run-up and attempts to lift it over the wall, but can only succeed in finding the middle of it. Coquelin is then booked for a terrible tackle as Red Star look to break. Time for the first substitution of the evening as Savic heads off to be replaced by Babic. 7:23PM 63 min Smart from Wilshere, who runs with the ball at the Red Star defence, jinking this way and that, and forcing Le Tallec into a pretty agricultural challenge. The Red Star centre-back gets no part of the ball but plenty of the man and is shown a yellow card. Arsenal have a free-kick 20 yards out in a perfect position... 7:21PM Time on ball (45 - 60 min) Possession: Crvena Zvezda vs Arsenal 7:20PM 60 min And right on cue, Boakye is shown Red Star's second yellow card of the match after bundling Walcott over with the Arsenal man tearing through the middle of the park. 7:19PM 59 min Things are growing increasingly niggly out in Serbia with the referee frequently called into whistle-blowing action. 7:14PM 54 min This is end to end to end to end. First Giroud fires over the bar and then Elneny almost pays for attempting a blind pass when last man, but Radonjic's shot is well saved by Cech. 7:12PM 52 min Back down the other end and Krsticic gets in behind Debuchy to get on the end of a cross from the right. His header is a strong one but, thankfully for the Arsenal keeper, is straight into Cech's hands. 7:10PM 50 min What a frantic start to the half. This time it's Nelson, who nutmegs Radonjic on the right side of the Red Star penalty area and then unleashes a powerful shot that Borjan palms away, diving to his right at the near post. 7:08PM 47 min Straight down the other end and a decent chance for Arsenal, with a cross-shot fizzed from Walcott at an unmarked Giroud at the far post, but the Frenchman can't manoeuvre his body into the right position and the ball loops off his foot into Borjan's hands. 7:07PM 46 min Well that's a pretty handy start by the Serbian side and a bloody outstanding tackle from Elneny. Red Star break through the middle with Srnic running onto the ball in the Arsenal penalty area. He looks up and prepares to fire past Cech, but Elneny times a wonderful slide tackle to whip the ball right off his toe. 7:04PM Second half Here we go. Red Star have scored in 65 of their last 66 home matches. No changes at the break. 7:00PM Intimidated? Credit: getty images 6:49PM Half time Goalless at the break. Walcott had Arsenal's best chance early on, but Wenger's side were then forced to weather some pressure from the hosts who hit the bar through the dangerous Boakye. Of Arsenal's young players, I have to say I'm most impressed by Nelson, who has looked both defensively assured and handy on the ball at right wing-back. Back soon. 6:48PM Time on ball (first half) Possession: Crvena Zvezda vs Arsenal 6:48PM Average touch positions (half time) Average touch positions (half time) 6:48PM 45+2 min Kanga ends the half with a limp long-range bobbler that rolls nearer the corner flag than the goal. 6:46PM 45 min "The fourth official has indicated a minimum of two minutes added time." 6:45PM The shot count is similar Crvena Zvezda have attempted six shots so far, compared to three for Arsenal. Crvena Zvezda vs Arsenal shots on goal 6:44PM 43 min A rash challenge by Stojkovic on Maitland-Niles gives Arsenal a free-kick about 10 yards in from the corner flag. The jeers are deafening as Walcott crosses and Borjan palms the ball behind for a corner, which leads to nothing. 6:42PM 41 min Here come Red Star again with Srnic down the right. He decides to fire a low ball in early towards Boakye, but Cech darts off his line and holds on to cut out the danger. Most of Red Star's threat has come down the right so far where they are up against Maitland-Niles and Holding. 6:39PM Arsenal defence unworried so far Crvena Zvezda have not been posing a threat in the final third. Crvena Zvezda vs Arsenal 6:39PM 38 min Arsenal are attempting to slow things down again, but that shouldn't really affect Red Star too much, with the Serbians seemingly happy to soak up the pressure before hitting them on the break. And Boakye has already shown how dangerous he can be on the counter. 6:36PM 35 min These Red Star fans are making an absolute racket. 6:34PM 33 min Our man in Belgrade: Arsenal started well here, but Red Star are growing into this. If Wenger's plan was to draw the sting from the game, it's not working... yet— Sam Dean (@SamJDean) October 19, 2017 6:33PM 32 min Red Star on the attack again and what a chance this is! The home side break rapidly down the right (with Arsenal caught out by a high line) and the ball is crossed all the way to Radonjic at the far post. The Red Star winger brings it down and fires a fierce shot at goal, where Cech does very well to keep out diving to his right. Rodic then receives the first yellow card of the night for cynically hauling down Walcott. 6:32PM Time on ball (15 - 30 min) Possession: Crvena Zvezda vs Arsenal 6:29PM 28 min Unusual honesty from a club's Twitter account: Big chance for Red Star - and a big let-off for us Boakye heads off the frame of the goal#RSBvAFC 0-0 (27)— Arsenal FC (@Arsenal) October 19, 2017 6:27PM 25 min Hit the bar! The second corner finds Boakye totally unmarked at the far post and his effort has Cech beaten, only for it to crack against the woodwork. 6:26PM Arsenal are dominating the ball so far Arsenal are making the hosts do the chasing - they've had 232 touches of the ball compared to just 142 for Crvena Zvezda. Crvena Zvezda vs Arsenal 6:26PM 24 min Kanga releases Radonjic down the left, but Nelson does well to charge back and time his slide tackle to perfection, even managing to win a throw in the process by knocking the ball off the Red Star player. Arsenal's efforts to retain possession are weak to say the least though and they promptly concede a corner, which Cech punches away before the keeper is forced to put a second cross out for another corner. 6:21PM 21 min Wilshere stands over another free-kick, this time 35 yards out and on the left, but his cross is headed clear and Red Star immediately launch a counter. Boakye brings the ball into the final third before laying off to Srnic, but his long-range effort dribbles wide of the far post. No danger for Cech. 6:18PM 17 min This game is so open and now it's Boakye's turn to venture forward. He enters the Arsenal penalty box before cutting back to Kanga, but the visitors clear the danger. Boakye's pace could prove crucial tonight. 6:18PM Crvena Zvezda threaten for the first time Following the earlier Arsenal effort, Crvena Zvezda register their first attempt at goal. Crvena Zvezda vs Arsenal shots on goal 6:16PM Time on ball (0 - 15 min) Possession: Crvena Zvezda vs Arsenal 6:16PM 15 min Giroud is bundled over about 30 yards out and Arsenal have a free-kick in a decent position. Wilshere stands over it, but surely it's too far out for a shot... instead he dinks in to Giroud at the far post and the ball is somehow bundled to a totally unmarked Walcott six yards out in front of goal, but his left-foot shot is saved by Borjan's outstretched leg. That was a huge chance. 6:16PM Neither Crvena Zvezda or Arsenal are testing the goalkeepers so far Not much to do for either keeper at Rajko Mitic Stadium - Crvena Zvezda and Arsenal keeping each other at bay. Crvena Zvezda vs Arsenal shots on goal 6:13PM 12 min A great counter-attack sees Kanga break down the right and loft a dangerous ball in the direction of Radonic at the far post, forcing Holding to nod behind to safety. The Red Star corner comes to nothing. 6:11PM 10 min A first foray into the Arsenal penalty area sees Radonjic dispossessed before the visitors break at pace. Wilshere is at the centre of the move but he chooses the wrong option in Giroud over Walcott, when his fellow Englishman had found acres of space at the far post. 6:09PM 8 min Nice, calm passing on display from Arsenal. If there were any fears that their youngsters could get overawed by this atmosphere they seem to have been allayed. Red Star are certainly defending in numbers with men behind the ball when not in possession. 6:06PM 5 min Somewhat frenetic from the home side, but Arsenal's youngsters are taking things at their own (slower) pace in these opening stages with play focusing on the middle of the pitch. Time for a first foray forward as Wilshere plays in Walcott, who takes one touch too many after entering the Red Star penalty area and is dispossessed. He had the chance to shoot but didn't take it. 6:03PM 2 min Red Star have started the match at quite a pace, with Arsenal's back three called into action early on. Debuchy (who most people had forgotten was still an Arsenal player) reads play smartly though to cut out any threat. The ball is booted out for Kanga to receive some treatment. 6:01PM 1 min Arsenal, in their all black away strip, get things under way and are immediately jeered by the capacity crowd. 5:59PM Here we go The players are out and it's time for action. It's noisy. Very. This is phenomenal pic.twitter.com/jcfmdOmv8I— Sam Dean (@SamJDean) October 19, 2017 5:55PM Heaving The stadium is packed tonight and the atmosphere is simmering nicely. Walking onto the pitch is going to be quite a moment for the likes of 17-year-old Reiss Nelson. Intimidating? And then some. Here's a shot outside from a little earlier. Credit: getty images 5:43PM Head to head It's not an extensive one. These two teams have met just once before, in a two-leg affair in the 1978 Uefa Cup. On that occasion Red Star won the first match 1-0, before a late equaliser secured a 1-1 draw at Highbury and booted Arsenal out of the competition. 5:40PM Wenger speaks It will be a very heated game. The nerves will play a big part, especially for the young players. We have to make sure that the focus is on the game and the best way to keep the crowd quiet is to start strong. Nine points would put some comfort into our next games because we will have played two times away from home. It would put us in a very comfortable position. But any positive result would be good. 5:31PM Bantz I'm going to level with you - I don't know a great deal about Arsenal's young midfielder Joe Willock. But I have deduced one thing from the fact that he wears 69 on his back: he's a MONSTER LAD. Banter king alert. Credit: getty images Interestingly, he has two brothers who are also professional footballers. One plays for Benfica and one for Utrecht (on loan from Manchester United). 5:25PM Verdict So what do you make of those line ups? Elneny as part of a back three??? Debuchy as part of a back three??? 5:06PM Substitutes Oh, you want the bench information as well do you? Arsenal: Macey, Osei-Tutu, Akpom, Da Silva, McGuane, Nketiah, Sheaf Red Star Belgrade: Supic, Racic, Milijas, Adzic, Babic, Pesic, Gobeljic 4:55PM Team news Arsenal: Cech; Debuchy, Holding, Elneny; Nelson, Coquelin, Willock, Maitland-Niles; Walcott, Wilshere; Giroud. Red Star Belgrade: Borjan; Stojkovic, Le Tallec, Savic, Rodic; Krsticic, Donald; Srnic, Kanga, Radonjic; Boakye 4:43PM The Marakana The venue for tonight's game is the Rajko Mitic Stadium (also known as the Marakana) - named after the Red Star legend, who made more than 500 appearances for the club in the 1940s and 50s. Capacity: 51,755 Main approach: Dusty track ("It is not even under foot so extra care should be taken," according to the Arsenal supporters' guide) Not allowed: Alcohol, megaphones, flares Allowed: Smoking Rajko Mitic Stadium Worst TripAdvisor review: Where do I start?!  On entry to the stadium everyone in the away end was thoroughly search. No coins are allowed in so even my purse was searched. I have no problem with this however the Serbian home fans managed to get not only coins into the ground (one hit me) but bottles, flares, firecrackers & even a JAVELIN. All were thrown at Away fans. When they were thrown the police & stewards reaction was to push the Welsh fans back not to stop the Serbia fans throwing stuff. Not even a cage was stopping them get through, yes you read it correctly a cage! There were bars on all sides of the Away section with spikes on top of them & a trench separating the pitch from the fans.  There was limited refreshments on offer 1 small coke & a small water was 1500 RDS which is about €12.50 The toilets had no toilet paper, take tissues!  We were kept after the game for over an hour. There were no refreshments being served & they shut the toilets. After about 70mintues we were ushered on to buses. It was very intimidating as there were rows of armed police. The police were lined all the way to the city.  4:20PM Are you ready? This is very cool. The tunnel the #AFC players will be walking through at the 'Marakana' tonight https://t.co/3dTrRjHioY— Sam Dean (@SamJDean) October 19, 2017 4:04PM Match preview What is it? The defender has been sidelined and almost left in the summer but is now expected to start in Serbia as Arsene Wenger rings the changes. Petr Cech will start in goal as David Ospina has not travelled, while Danny Welbeck (hamstring) and Santi Cazorla (ankle) are among a host of first-team players not to make the trip.

This is a Europa League group stage match between Red Star Belgrade (or Crvena Zvezda if you'd prefer) and Arsenal (commonly known as Arsenal). The visitors have a perfect record of two wins from their two matches in the competition so far, while Red Star have picked up four points. They sit first and second in Group H. If you don't have BT Sport, you can follow all the action with live updates on this page. What is the team news, who is injured and suspended? Red Star Belgrade:  The hosts have a number of injury concerns with first-choice goalkeeper Milan Borjan ruled out, which means Damir Kahriman is likely to start. Milan Rodic, Branko Jovicic and Vujadin Savic are also out injured. Arsenal: Arsenal could recall Mathieu Debuchy for his first start in 11 months. Francis Coquelin, Calum Chambers and Shkodran Mustafi are other absentees, while Laurent Koscielny and Danny Welbeck are unlikely to be risked after picking up knocks in the defeat against Watford. What are potential line-ups?

Manchester United-Huddersfield Town Preview

LISBON, PORTUGAL - OCTOBER 18: Manager Jose Mourinho of Mancester United watches from the touchline during the UEFA Champions League group A match between SL Benfica and Manchester United at Estadio da Luz on October 18, 2017 in Lisbon, Portugal. (Photo by John Peters/Man Utd via Getty Images)

Nemanja Matic says Man Utd manager Jose Mourinho is not easy to work with but he is also the best

Nemanja Matic has admitted Jose Mourinho is not easy to work with at times because he is constantly demanding more from players, regardless of what they achieve. But the Manchester United midfielder believes that is one of the reasons why Mourinho is the best coach he has ever played under. And Matic has insisted Mourinho’s public image as “cold and conceited” is at odds with his warmth and compassion in private and believes the Portuguese is building a squad capable of bringing the glory days back to Old Trafford. United have won 10 of their past 12 matches but Mourinho has come in for criticism in recent days for his defensive approach in the goalless draw at Anfield last Saturday and an uninspiring 1-0 victory away to Benfica in the Champions League on Wednesday. But Matic launched a staunch defence of Mourinho, under whom he won the Premier League title with Chelsea in 2014/15, before being brought to United for £40 million by the manager this summer. Mourinho and Matic also worked together at Chelsea  "Mourinho is a brand, and the best coach I've ever worked with,” the Serbia midfielder said. "Sometimes it isn't easy to work with him, because he always demands more. "Even when you play the best match in your career, he considers that you can play better in the next match. "I cooperated excellently with him at Chelsea, and the fact that Mourinho is the coach at Manchester was the decisive factor in me choosing my new environment. "Privately he's completely different from the way he is perceived by the general public. This is a man who possesses all human virtues. He's not at all cold or conceited, as he is presented in the media." Matic says he is excited by United’s potential this season and hopes to repeat some of the success his compatriot Nemanja Vidic had at the club.  "He (Mourinho) has created an excellent group of players with huge potential, and everything is there for us to achieve good results,” Matic told Air Serbia’s in-flight magazine, Elevate. "I don't want to talk about the goals of the club, but when I mention Manchester United I think the ambitions are clear to everyone. "We will do our best to achieve the results that previous generations had. "The fact that I'm playing for United is the pinnacle of my career and of everything I've achieved in football. Matic wants to have similar success at United to his compatriot Nemanja Vidic  "Vidic is spoken about with great respect in Manchester. He left an indelible mark at United. I will do my best to repeat the success that Vidic had, and I know that it will be very tough. "I do not want them to ask me someday 'What are you even doing here?’ I'm privileged to be following in his footsteps, and if I'm even half as respected among the fans as Nemanja I will be overjoyed."   Meanwhile, Nicky Butt insists Mourinho is interested in United’s academy, which he said will never be like some clubs who “cast their net out and trawl them (young players) all in like fish, but then dump them without realising they are just kids.” "I am lucky to have a manager who communicates with me and is interested in some of the younger ones," Butt said. "We have discussions about them, who to bring up to senior training and who to look at, such as the last game of last season (against Crystal Palace) when we had six debutants. That was unbelievable "In that sense I'm lucky, but it doesn't surprise me. When the manager came in, he was honest with me. He said that his role was to get United back to winning ways, it wasn't to run the academy because that was my job. "But he said he would be here for me to lean on, to help, join in and watch sessions. He said he would discuss players with me in terms of who to bring up, who to put out on loan, but ultimately, he said I was the boss of the Academy and he was the boss of the first-team. If I'm perfectly honest, that's just the way I want it."
