The first awards show after the Golden Globes wasn't about politics

Color returned to the red carpet on Thursday as celebrities attended the Critics’ Choice Awards following the Golden Globe’s blackout.

Arriving ready to make a statement on their own, all of Hollywood’s leading ladies lit up the arrivals in sparkling sleek dresses and gorgeous colorful gowns. Host Olivia Munn took on two of the night’s trends, wearing a bright red dress with silver embellishments, while Gal Gadot and Mary J. Blige dressed in various metallics. Men came dressed to impressed as well, with Nick Jonas and many others wearing dark velvet suits.

Audiences may still be keeping their ears open for potential presidential speeches, but in the meantime, check out all of the evening’s best dressed.
